Chapter Six

The boys weren't done there, and their next song played off:

"Make some noise for the desi boyz
The boyz
The boyz
The boyz'..
Let's go
Come on

Kudiyan de dil
Vich rule karenge
Aey hi faile hai
Nazaron vich hawa
Todaange Romeo de
Love da record vi
likhenge ishq da
Baat navaa
Duniyaa boli
Bighde hai
Dil apnaa
Hai shareef bada
Make some noise for the desi boyz
One two three go..
English thumke
Dil ki dum pe
Mare jam jam ke
Desi boyz
Sone hone ban ke
Chatti dole tan ke
Nach jam jam ke
Desi boyz
English thumke
Dil ki dum pe
Mare jam jam ke
Desi boyz
Sone hone ban ke
Chatti dole tan ke
Nach jam jam ke
Desi boyz"

The girls knew the perfect song to dance back with and they chose their song and it played off.

"My desi girl
My desi girl
Girl' girl' girl' girl
My desi girl
My desi girl
Girl' girl' girl' girl
Jhumka gira de
Jo milale agar woh nazar se nazar mein taale
Nachke dikade,
Sabki dhadkan mein kadam se kadam milale
Lehron si chaal pe chaal bichade
Dil ko yun behaal bana de
Par deewane mane
Na dekhi koi aisi girl
(Na dekhi koi aisi girl)
Dekhi lakh lakh pardesi girl
Ain't nobody like my desi girl
Dekhi lakh lakh pardesi girl
Sab toh soni saadi desi girl
Who's the hottest girl in the world?
My desi girl
My desi girl
Thumka lagaike she'll rock your world
My desi girl
My desi girl
My desi girl
My desi girl"

From the look on his face, it was obvious to Khushi that the guy was stuck in daze. Now she knew the perfect song to dance to, so that they would win this, by doing the first part of this song:

Everyone had hollered and whistled and had even danced along. With the girls ending their performance, everyone was up applauding. The guy was stuck in daze and he looked at Khushi as she smiled and curtsied. She noticed him looking at her she gave him a confident look. He just smiled and looked down, his arms crossed, and then back up at her.

----------------

Payal was brought down and she was taken to the mandap. Akash was already seated and the two looked at each other from the corner of their eyes. Even though it seemed as an arranged marriage to the elders, the truth was that Akash and Payal had already like each other. Heck, they were even going out. Knowing how her Nana is, she knew she wouldn't have problems going out with him and that nothing could ever break them.

Khushi knew about this secret and she was happy for her cousin. As Akash and Payal made their vows, Khushi felt happy for her. As they made their third phera, Khushi looked at her mom, who was smiling, but there was sadness in her eyes. She couldn't help but feel bad. Khushi knew her mother wasn't just sad because her niece would be going away, but because her mother thinking of Aditya. It brought tears to Khushi's eyes, but she decided not to think to much of it, otherwise it would make her cry like a blubbering baby.

Akash and Payal had finished their pheras and he placed the sindhoor through her parting. Everyone clapped as Akash placed the mangalsutra around her neck. Khushi was exceptionally happy and after they took blessings from the parents, Khushi went running over to her and hugged Payal tightly. Payal cried on her shoulder, holding Khushi tightly.

"Ssh, don't cry stupid," Khushi said, lightly slapping her back.

Payal looked up and pouted at her, trying to stop.

"Come on Pays, stop." Khushi looked at Akash and called him over. She took his hand and placed Payal's hand in his. "Promise me, that you'll ALWAYS keep her happy."

Akash held Payal's hand tightly. "Always."

Khushi had tears flowing down her cheeks and she smiled and gave both a hug.

The guy was watching all of this and when they broke away and Akash and Payal had gone over to the others, he walked over to her.

"Don't worry," the guys said as he stood next to her. "He'll take good care of her."

"And how do you know," Khushi asked, looking at the newly-wed couple.

"Cause we're best friends. We're practically bros."

Khushi looked at him. "Promise?"

He smiled humbly. "Promise."

Akash and Payal were preparing to leave and Khushi wiped away her tears. The guy looked at her and looked at the newly-weds.

"Nice moves," he said.

Khushi smiled lightly. "Thanks."

"Take classes?"

"No, my mother taught me."

"She taught you now to shake your hip so that men go chasing after  you?"

Khushi chuckled. "My moms pretty cool. She always followed our generation so that it would be easier to connect with me. Plus, she's just cool like that."

He smiled. "Oh yeah, what's your name?"

"Khush. Khushi Kumari Gupta." She held her hand out and they shook hands. "And your name?"

He opened his mouth to speak but someone came over to him, a girl who seemed a bit older than him. She told them that they were leaving immediately and she dragged him with her.

"See ya 'round," he yelled, and left.

Khushi scrunched her eyebrows and chuckled.

"Well someone made you laugh."

Khushi turned and saw her mom. "Oh, hey mom!"

"Who's the guy," Kinjal asked, nodding her head towards the direction he left.

"I don't know, but he's Jiju's best friend."

"Hmm, just like you and Payal."

"Yeah'."

"Know his name?"

"Yeah! It's Bunty! Wanna go to his parents for a proposal?"

Kinjal slightly hit Khushi's head. "Shut up! You know I don't roll that way."

""Roll that way"? Wow."

Kinjal just gave her a face and Khushi  smiled. Both gave each other a hug, smiling lightly as they saw Payal leave.
